Injuries & Pain
Acupuncture treatment for injuries can be a useful addition to conventional modalities such as physiotherapy or osteopathy. As Acupuncturist, we look for the reason for the injury (the root) and also the signs and symptoms of the injury (the branch). Essentially Acupuncturists treat both!
This is the key point of difference when seeing an Acupuncturist for treatment.
Sometimes injuries keep coming back, so it’s important in Traditional Chinese Medicine to address the underlying causes to ensure your body has the best chance of healing - AND provide you with tools to manage injuries, and chronic pain better.
Pain management, often for chronic conditions, can be minimised in our experience through regular treatments. We have treated a number of serious health conditions over the years involving pain “management”. Sometimes when a disease has progressed too far, and for example a surgery is required, Acupuncture may be a useful adjunct treatment for you in coping until the time comes.
